#171 Letting Off Some Steam

I just love the sun.

Anyways,

Tomorrow is my school's carnival day!

Not really sure what time to go though,

Really lazy to wake up so early.

Had dinner just now,

Saw the sky was beautiful and I had to take

It all happened when my dad kept on teasing me.

Was fun and stupid when teachers aren't around teaching.

"So, she ran and ran until it caught up with her. She died in a horrible way!"
"How?"
"You really want to know?"
"Yes!"

I look out the window and drowned Huiyee and my other friend's voices.
I was spooked out by the story Huiyee told me.
I shivered, remembering what Huiyee just said.
"Kim, are you cold?" Huiyee asked, breaking into my thoughts.
I turned towards her and smile,
I didn't want to let her know that her story spooked me out,
So I said,
"Yeah, I can smell the rain in the air."
Which is true.
Huiyee took a deep breath and looked at me with a puzzled face.
"How can you smell it?" She asked me.
I tapped my nose twice while smiling at her.
"Right, your sensitive nose," she said and smile.
I sneezed, once, twice.
"Is the rain going to be heavy?" Huiyee asked in a concerned voice.
I started to reply her but was cut off by my sneeze.
Huiyee nodded,
She knew the rain is going to be heavy due to my nose.
I smiled at her,
Letting her know it all right.
"Hey, lets go to the other class," Serene said.
Both Huiyee and I nodded our heads and set off to the next class.
I felt worried bout the rain.
It felt like there's going to be a dreadful storm approaching.

As we entered the classroom,
I saw the walls are covered with colored paper.
Then it hit me,
My school is having a carnival!
I smiled as I blindly followed Huiyee.
"Hey Luke!" Huiyee said and sat next to him on the chair.
I stood by her,
Looking at her flirt with him.
I don't mind, really.
I smiled at him and said,
"Hey Lucifer!"
A nickname I gave him.
"Hey, Kimmie," He replied, calling me by my nickname he gave.
"Luke, you know that I told Serene about...."
My mind started to space out as I looked through the windows.
I can see dark clouds forming from the distance,
At first it was a tiny speck of dark cloud,
Which slowly accumulate into something big.
My heart pound as I watch the clouds gathering;
My stomach twist and twirl due to the bad feeling I had;
The hair at back of my neck begun to stand.
I shivered, wondering what's going to happen.
Suddenly, I felt something warm pushing it's way into my left tight fist.

At first I didn't noticed my fist were balled up together until now.
I looked down and saw someone else's hand trying to push it's way through.
I looked up,
Trying to find out whose hand is it.
I let go out my fist and finally the warm fingers slipped into mine,
Causing my heart to pound even faster.
Finally,
I recognized the hand,
It was Luke's.

He put his arm behind Huiyee and held on to my hand.
I look at his hair,
Wondering if it's as soft as it looks.
Luke turned his head and our eyes locked into each other
And he smiled at me.
I smiled back as he shifted his attention towards Huiyee.
I squeezed his hand as he squeezed mine in return.
"Um, Huiyee," he said,
Huiyee stopped talking and look at him.
Luke used his left hand and tried to push her out of the chair.
"Sorry, but I uh.. Have something to talk about with Kim," he said and smiled.
Huiyee looked at me and nodded.
"Uh, okay, I'll be next door if you need me," she said and left.
As soon as she's out of sight,
Luke pulled me and forced me to sit on the chair.
"So, what do you wan to talk to me about?" I asked, feeling abit curious.
"Oh, nothing, I'm just lazy to hear Huiyee's stories,"
"Oh.. Um.." I felt heat rising up to my cheeks.
Luke took my right hand in his left and hold it.
"You're cold," he said as I snuggled next to him.
"Must be the wind," I muttered.
He then let go of my left hand and draped his right hand on me.
"Warmer?" He asked.
I cuddled next to him and nodded.
I rest my head on his shoulder as he rest his head on mine.
I felt his brown hair and confirmed that it is softer than it looks.
I closed my eyes,
Feeling all the worried I have earlier on was slowly melting away.
Luke's body felt warm against mine as he pulled me closer to him.
I want to stay like this forever, feeling all the warmth I need right here.
I didn't want to open my eyes;
Afraid it was all my imagination,
A hallucination.
"Kim," Luke muttered in my ear.
I opened my eyes and saw Luke looking at me.
"Want to have a walk around the school?" he asked and smile.
Oh that smile!
It makes my heart flutter everytime he smile.
I lifted my head from his strong shoulder
And he pulled me up on my feet.
Hand in hand, we walk out of the school.

Luke brought me to the school's garden.
On the way there,
I saw many stalls were set up
And ready for customers.
Luke then suddenly twirl me and I laughed.
We started to dance as the wind picked up.
My skirt flew all around me and I spin round and round.
Never I had so much fun in my life,
Only Luke could make me smile when I'm down;
Only he can understand what I'm going through;
Only he knows how to comfort me;
Only him and no one else.
I stopped dancing,
Breathing really hard as I lean on Luke.
I looked up at him and saw an Angel.
I know that sounds corny but he really looked like that.
Our eyes locked into each other for quite a while until he closes in for a kiss.
It was just a peck on the lips
But it made me feel like soaring together with the wind.
My hair was in a mess when we went into the school building together.
But Luke didn't mind one single bit.
It came to me that I loved him as he loved me.

We sat in the classroom together,
Just the two of use having a private picnic while watching the sky.
The blue sky has faded and was replaced by grey clouds.
The wind picked up and little water droplets started to pelt on the window.
In a way it was quite romantic,
Just to two of us.

Without realizing,
I fell into sleep and woke up all alone.
I felt the blanket on me slide.
I looked around to find Luke
But isn't there at all.
As I got up,
I noticed a note on the floor.
Curiously, I opened the paper and saw Luke's handwriting.
I smiled as I read it's content;

Dear Kimmie,
Sorry for leaving you all alone but i have some business to attend.
Will see you later, k?
Lucifer.

I got up, keeping the note safely in my pocket
And walked out of the room.
"KIM!" Someone cried my name.
I turned towards the direction and saw Huiyee waving at me.
"Sup," I said.
"Kim, we need your help,"
"My help?"
"The school's started to flood!"
My eyes widen when I heard the news.
"How bad is it" I whispered.
"The lower ground is almost flooded. I'm trying to find people to help,"
"Take me there, I want to help."
Huiyee started to run to the direction where she came from
With me just behind her.

We reached the lower ground and I saw many were trying to stop the water
From flowing in to the corridor.
Huiyee took my hand and pulled me into a room.
"Help!" She cried, her hair was wet due to the water.
I started to find things to block the cracks bit it was no use,
The water kept on flowing in.
Suddenly,
My chest begun to tighten;
It felt really hard to breathe.
I'm claustrophobic!
The room.
It's so small and tight.
The water kept on gushing in.
There's no stopping it.

"Huiyee!" I cried as I went up the stairs.
"I'm going to go up for a while! I'm claustrophobic!"
Huiyee nodded as she headed for a small door.
That's where the exit is.
The exit.
Water is at the other side of the door!
"Huiyee!" I screamed. "NO!"
But my warning was in vain.
Huiyee opened the door and a gush of water burst through,
Sweeping Huiyee and the others away.
Tears formed into my eyes.
I felt so helpless,
I can't swim and the water is too powerful to wade in it.
Without another second,
A huge wave hit me,
Sending me into total darkness.

A few minutes later,
I started to cough,
Trying to vomit out the water that was in me.
I opened my eyes and saw Luke.
He was crying and hugging me.
"Kim.. Oh Kim!" he sobbed.
"Luke, where is everyone else?" I tried to say.
Luke stared at the floor,
He wouldn't look at me in the eyes.
"Gone," he whispered.
My chest tightened and I couldn't breathe.
Gone...

I woke up with a shock,
Feeling cold.
I wiped off the sweat on my forehead and sat up on my bed.
It felt hard to breathe,
As though I didn't breathe for a long time.
Luke, Huiyee...
It was a dream.
It was all a dream.
But it felt so real.

Ya know something?

I realized that this year is the best birthday year of my life.

I got myself a new camera;

My mom got me converse shoes;

My sister got me a L.J. Smith book;

My dad got me a NEW E71 Nokia phone

And Nisha got me a card holder!

I didn't know that my dad was getting me a new/old phone.

I called it new/old phone cause it's new to me but it's second hand.

And I had to pay RM150 for it too.

Not to mention,

I'm gonna get a Sasuke Doll for myself!

Life has certainly becoming more and more interesting.

I've come to realized that

I'm becoming more and more happier these days.

#164 Yesterday

Yesterday was an awesome day.

Never in my life I would have thought that I 'm gonna

Hang out with my tuition friends!

It was the best day I've ever had this year!

And I absolutely love it so.

Went home around 12 last night.
